Min kommentar

Jag tog upp den här som "lite lätt läsning" och hann komma ganska långt innan jag insåg att det här var mycket större än jag kunnat gissa. En liten tegelsten på över 1000 sidor. Kan inte komma ihåg senaste gången jag gav min på något så stort på så kort tid. 

Det var välskrivet och engagerande, och inte riktigt vad jag väntat mig. Det var en välskriven fantasy med intressanta intriger och problem. Det är riktat mot en lite yngre publik tror jag, men det var inte något som störde mig så mycket. 

Jag gillar att fokuset inte ligger på "pojke möter flicka, kärlek och problem" på sätt som redan utnyttjats i så många böcker utan att det här finns svek och familjer och kärlek mellan vänner och föräldrar. Det känns levande och alla har fått sin egen röst. Det är riktigt bra gjort. Kärlekshistorien blir lite av en sidohistoria med allt annat som pågår. Och det är mycket som pågår, herre jösses säger jag bara. Andra kärlekshistorier, vänner och svek och strul, ändringar i gruppdynamiker när nya kommer in, mord, och den där lilla detaljen kring varulvar. Och zigenare, och arv, och andar... ja listan kan göras lång!

Rekommenderas om du är sugen på välskriven fantasy med mycket intriger och fokus på individer och gruppdynamik. Med ett stort inslag av varulvar.
